Each month is an in-depth study of an object, art movement, and/or the artistic techniques and processes featured in the collection galleries OR Special Exhibitions. Experience a hands-on immersive art history lesson with the tools and tricks of the trade! Each session features an in-gallery examination of an artwork, followed by an in-studio art project.

Select from the session options above. Space is limited and spots fill up quickly. Advanced reservation strongly encouraged. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your session. All materials will be provided. Families welcome. Ages 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

 

 

Egg Painting
March 23 – 1 - 4 p.m.

Explore the artful tradition of egg painting! Participants will create their own symbolic painted wooden egg while learning about the beautifully intricate designs and techniques used in the delicate pysanky process. Ages 12 and up are welcome. No drawing experience is necessary. 

Family Style Story Telling
April 27 – 1 - 4 p.m.

Create your own colorful stories to share as we explore the world of Ukrainian folk tales and their meanings. Families and children are encouraged to work together. For ages 6 and up.
